MENTORS

WHAT IS
A MENTOR
A mentor is someone who walks alongside you, listens well, and offers wisdom shaped by real life experience and faith. Mentorship creates space for honest conversations, guidance, and encouragement, reminding people they don’t have to figure everything out alone. Scripture points to the value of this kind of relationship, saying that wise counsel brings clarity and direction (Proverbs 11:14). A mentor also helps combat loneliness by inviting people into healthy community, because we were never meant to do life in isolation (Ecclesiastes 4:9–10). Mentorship reflects God’s heart for connection, showing up with compassion and truth when someone needs it most. At its core, a mentor helps people grow, feel seen, and move forward with confidence and hope.
