Meredith grew up in the Southeast Missouri town of Cape Girardeau. Through a divine “plug” from her Kanakuk summer camp counselor during senior year of high school, Meredith was led to attend Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. It was there she earned a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, which qualified her to teach high school sciences but also awakened in her a passion for teaching. Eventually her love of teaching was directed to other areas, including Bible studies and even fitness classes.
While attending A&M, Meredith met her future husband, Alex. They both knew that God had divinely orchestrated their relationship and were engaged after only 4 months of dating. They married in 1997, and after an initial 8 years in Dallas, Texas, moved back to her hometown in Missouri. They became parents to children, Miller and Libby. “Scout,” a sweet cockapoo, is another important member of their family who is frequently the center of attention.
In 2008, Meredith integrated her science background with her creative talents and developed her own interior design company called Catalyst Interior Design. Through this entrepreneurship, she gained countless opportunities to learn about more than just wallpaper and lighting. It has pushed Meredith further out of her comfort zone, and most importantly, it has challenged her to grow more confident in who she is in Christ. Meredith focuses on her relationship with Jesus rather than placing her identity or value in other’s opinions of her.

Since 1996, Meredith has felt God calling her to use and grow her gift of teaching in various ministry opportunities. She started out by teaching small women’s Bible studies in college. By 2013, she and Alex were leading a lifegroup class in their local church. After writing and teaching her first Bible study in 2017, Overcoming - A Study of the Book of 1 John, Meredith realized her passion for producing other compelling Bible studies. She has found a calling for leading women to understand God’s word in a fresh, personal and life-transforming way. In 2018, she helped write a year-long, through-the-Bible curriculum for her church and began recording a weekly teaching video to an online Christian magazine called Kingdom’s Edge Magazine. She has also been a speaker at multiple women’s conferences, women’s retreats, marriage conferences and community events.
Ultimately, God had even bigger plans than she realized. In 2017, Abundant and Free Ministries was born. Since then, the ministry has hosted multiple women's retreats and Bible studies. Abundant and Free Ministries guides women on how to go deeper in their faith in pursuit of a real relationship with God without the checklist of religion. The focus is to create warriors by providing exhilarating studies and conferences leading women to hear from and experience God personally in their life. Women are able to recognize and overcome the deceptive snares of the enemy through these ministries as it continues to flourish and develop meaningful new content regularly.
